Which Final Fantasy Game is your favourite?

Typically it just has to be FF7 heck, i think the FF7 Series Complilation as a whole is amazing. The storyline just captures the emotion and what us gamers are looking for. Any real gamer will agree with me here.

I didn't mean it in that sense :S it's just that FF7 was the start of the Final Fantasy era, practically it was, although FF6 kinda kicked it off also.

I reeeeeally loved FFVII: Crisis Core.
It basically renewed my love for the series and gaming overall. So its my favourite out of all of them :idea:

But FF9, FF10 and FF13 were really good as well :x

That's how I say it, it's how I've said it since I first played the game. I don't really care how anyone else says it anymore, I think it's a matter of perception. But I do like Tide-us better.

Wow, Im surprised actually that FFX is winning. Its my favourite, but I didn't know a lot of other people felt the same way. I like it primarily because it was the first FF game (and one of the very first PS2 games) that I ever played. That in itself has some fond memories, no matter the fact that it took me ten years to beat it (starting over...starting over...starting over xD damn you re-surrecting seymour) But the CG's were great, and the romance between Tidus and Yuna is something that has yet to be re-created in any other FF game (in my opinion.) I could go on, but Im sure all FFX fans out there already know whats awesome about it.

However, I dislike X-2 because they turned Yuna into a bit of a slut (clothes wise) and it was a COMPLETE character break from who she was originally in FFX. That, and I just didn't like the mechanics of the game itself. If they had kept it exactly like in FFX, then it might have been ok. The ONLY thing I liked about X-2 was the "Good Ending" because its the reuniting we all waited for.

I think in FFX-2, they were trying to bring Yuna out of the shell she was in througout X. She changed at the end of X from the quiet, shy girl she was and becoming braver. I do agree that they could have done something more modest for her outfit (and Rikku's as well, for that matter).
But I definitely see how some people would have rather done without the game; to each his own,. (:

This is like a question, where the opinion will change from time to time. But my goodness, I love them all besides FFXIII. >.> FFXIII, can like...if I were either to recycle or throw away, I'd throw it away in the garbage, even when I'm Earth friendly. 8l (rofl)

Out of all the ones I played it's definitely IX. >3< It's a shame that it's underrated.....>.> Is it because they're tiny people? 8l roflrofl. Anyhoo, I just adore FFIX so much, it's perfectly my style of characters, atmosphere, story etc. and I don't think there are any flaws in the game, in my opinion. The OST is stunning, but that goes for every FF, I'd say.

Then the rest, it's really hard to choose, and list, because, they're all special in their own way. I pretty much have a thing for FFIV. muahaaha, but I also love X, which in the beginning, I used to hate the linearity so much, but it grew on me, and consider one of the best. It does have one of the strongest stories in the franchise, X-2 I could never finish, as I don't consider it a sequel, since it's SO BAD.. Then I love XII (don't care what anyone else says) VIII, VII...>.> Love them all. *steps on XIII* I want to get VI next though! I heard it's one of the best FF's on the old generation ones. ;33

I havent played any of them lol im not a gamer

so i went with the one i like most clips wise and i said VII coz its got Cloud AND Zack in it

but i do love X and X2 purely for the 'fantasy', and i loved yuna's clothes in both games.

my favorite is FFVI and FFX i really can't say which one i love more probably X actually since i prefer to listen to people then to read xD
I wasn't a huge fan of VII really ever i just thought it was ok i mean it helped i watched the movie and played the prequel and sequel before it i think since nothing in the game was a surprise to me! I did like the back stories to all the characters though i wish they would have done that a bit more in VIII well done it good in VIII , if you get my gist xD
I loved all the final fantasys in there own way also though (i've played pretty much all of them) xD

I played all of the final Fantasy Games Above.

Each game was somewhat different in there own way.
They all were emotional, climatic, and sudden.
Giving their own little SPARK Of EMOTION. :D

Final Fantasy VII, cause it was my first ever game.
And I grew up with it

I'd have to say it's a tie between VII and VIII. Both of the stories just entranced me when I was younger and they were the two games that really got me into gaming as a hobby I truly get enjoyment out of instead of just a way to kill time So, those two I also credit for my gaming addiction. :D

Final Fantasy VII, because it's just pure genius

Apparently I voted in the poll but never commented or anything. Oops. ANYWAY, hands down my favorite Final Fantasy is VI. The only game to ever make me cry just because it was so damn beautiful. I actually didn't get to play it until a couple years ago and my reaction was something along the lines of "where have you been all my life?!". All the characters are memorable and interesting, even the minor ones, the music is positively nosebleed worthy (Uematsu wrote an opera for the game. AN OPERA), Kefka is the best FF villain EVER, and the story is just...guh *nergasm flail*

*ahem*

I really love IX too (Beatrix and Kuja~ <3), and so far I'm really, really enjoying IV. So excited about Kain being in the new Dissidia game.

And part of the reason I got Dissidia maayy have been to make Kefka beat up Sephiroth. Over and over and over and over...it never gets old, I swear.

Final Fantasy VI! <3
X, IV & IX are my next ones.

Final Fantasy VIII needs more lovin' seriously. Everyone seems to dislike it due to it's plot/Junction system but that's what I find unique about it and love it

FFIV: 7/10: Loved the storyline and job system. Battles were annoying at times though.

FFIV 8/10: Still need to finish this but great storyline and Kefka's a really interesting villian

FFVII: 5/10: The materia system was good, probably my favourite system out of th entire series. However, didn't really like the storyline, I found the Final battle unsatisfying due to the low HP of the bosses, you can kill them in literally seconds and I find Sephiroth is potentially the weakest villian out of them all, of the games I've played anyway. I doubt dissidia gave a full representation of the villians.

FFVIII: 9/10: Some errors and glitches stopped me from giving this full marks

FFIX: 9/10: Second favourite. goes back to the more classic Final Fantasies. I loved all the characters, which I never have in any other game. Absolutely amazing storyline and I love the cartoonish graphics. It would probably be my favourite if it wasn't for the ability system.

FFX: 8/10 Great storyline. Beautiful graphics and I loved being able to use Aeons as actual playable characters in battle. I dislike the sphere grid system though. It's a great letdown for replay value as you have to spend literally hours and hours building it up again.

For me its FFIX cause it was my first FF and I totally grew up with it.Also most of the characters have a deep meaning in their story but they all focus on one question in the end.And there are many relations to older FF games, what I really like.
Since I started playing FFVII as well it took really long to understand most things but it draw really close to be my favorite game.Not only the characters and the story, but the game itself, the way they make you see clouds perspective,the fact that you get to know the past piece by piece until one moment gives the pieces sense.that was what i liked most at it.
Also many things in IX and X have a huge relation to the whole planet-life thing, so VII made me understand IX in the end
I really like FFVIII,too.its true, the whole level system wasn't that great but the story was awesome in my oppinion.I like that there is very much going on in the background-story that you don't get to know in the main storyline.

Ten for me, for many many reasons, number one being it was the first final fantasy game I played and finished. Two, the time I pumped into it. I managed to get all the ultimate weapons, defeated the dark aeons, made some great armours and finished the monster arena! 329 hours well spent. Three, I loved every character cept seymour and Tiddykins. Seymour was creepy incarnate and Tidus's voice wound me up, but Yuna and Rikku made up for that. I love the after the story factor of games the most, and this had a LOT to offer....so i think that's probably why. And I'm not overly graphics fussed unless they impair me.

I could go on forever about my opinions of each one but from what I've played....
FF3 I am yet to finish, it deleted my save!! Suckage! But I like what I played, just DS isn't really the best console. Same goes for 4, I loved all the characters (thats a first!!!) and the system was well-thought, but not the best.
FF7 is overrated, it was annoying, graphically confusing, storyline confusing and I really didn't like it. plus I got ambushed my emerald weapon. FF8 was cute, I loved the junction system but I hate most stories that delve into time travel in a serious way, so I ended up confused and a little disappointed by the end. 9 was great easily one of the better ones, GARNET IS LIKE MY FAV CHARRIE EVA......but it didn't really have enough extras to it like 10. 13 ALMOST beat it IMO but the story was so INYOFACE I got a little annoyed.....Hope's whining was insufferable at times!! "waah waah snow killed my mom" *SHUT UP!!*
And 12's monster hunts we funsies! But the story was massively politics heavy and I felt I spent most of it fighting monsters really....

Just 10 will always have a special place in my heart <3 *corny*

Final Fantasy IV should have a mention its one of the best games in my opinion the storyline the characters everyone of them was so memorable i mean it isn't my favourite but it is one of the bests.

I cant decide between Final Fantasy IX and Final Fantasy VI both very under appreciated i you ask me both have outstanding story-lines and so many memorable characters FFXI was the first game I ever finished Zidane was my favourite FF-Character for a long time but FFVI was so complex and magical I think it just about beats it in that sense everyone had a storyline worth its own game and I loved the variety and choice in the game its self.

Final Fantasy VII its great and all but its not my favourite i do hold it high being the first Final Fantasy game i ever played.
