Dragon Age: Origins

Has anyone else played it? What did you think of it? Who is your favourite character and why? Did you fall into a romance with one of the characters? Lets talk about Dragon Age!

Once you look past the lacking graphics, the actual mechanics of the game and the dialogue options, the voice-acting, the characters and the story ALL make up for what the game misses in visuals. In fact, once you really get INTO the game, the graphics look better and better (since everything else starts to mean more to you, your initial judgement of the game-quality changes). I personally loved it ^_^ and, I LOVE ALISTAIR! <3

I love it, its mega fun, and the party dialog is great.
Zevran and Wynne convos make me laugh for some reason xD
And i totally romanced Alastair, i mean who hasnt? :lookdown:

I know! Ive never had a game that made me laugh outloud so much. I LOVE when games allow you to choose what you say, and I loved DA even more because there are SO many options to choose from, and all have totally different reactions. Its nice when you cant play the same game twice :) its always different.

What race were you when you romanced him? Did you get to be Queen? I did! ^__^ Take that Anora -slaps-

Ooh and are you planning on getting DA-2? It looks pretty different, but I think Morrigan and the baby are a part of it. I hope so anyway.

I think ive romance im like...twice, i havent completed the game buuuut.
I romanced him xD I was i think an Elf the first time, from the city.
Then i was a human noble the second time.

And HELLYEAH im getting the 2nd one, i mean i like it cause its just like Mass Effect so im gonna get it. :drunken:

Nah its not that its odd, its just because of the racial problems in the land. Elfs are so low class one could never be queen. its funny, when i first played I started with an elf to, but then I wanted to be queen so I started over as a human noble :D

Well i have two characters so i'll probably just switch over, and holy crap i cant wait to kick Loghains ass D<

Haha yah....did you ever read the books? There are two book released by the guy who wrote teh entire story concept for the game. The books are actually REALLY good, especially the first one. It shows you all about Loghains past too since he is one of the main characters.

They arnt very well known books, you may have them...Just search: Dragon Age: The Rebel Queen" or "Dragon Age: The Stolen Throne"

How far are you in the game?

Well ive started it over several times, and i think i got to uh...the funky forest.
I just beat the brood mother, saved the guys at red cliff and the mages of the circle.

Then i forgot to play it again xD

lol One thing i guess I can suggest is DO EVERYTHING. EVERY side quest. Its all worthwhile and entertaining. And starting over is fine. I start over games often so I can do things I missed, or see if I did miss anything. With DA you ALWAYS miss things.

Probably because its such a long game xD

Dragon Age = LOVE

Actually I love everything BioWare, Dragon Age is just my current obsession lol. I've finished it three times, and I'm on my fourth playthrough (doing the dwarven noble origin this time). And Alistair is brain meltingly adorable. Although I love Zev too. He's surprisingly sweet as a love interest. ^^

And I am DEFINITELY getting 2 when it comes out. Although apparently the baby is not going to be part of it, since technically it's not canon. But Flemeth is back. XD
