11tiggers: A/N: HEY GUYS! So i have been writing FanFiction for almost 2 years now :3 and i thought of writing a new one to my second favourite pairing, CloudxTifa (CloTi), i really do hope Clerith fans will also give this a once over, it would be nice to know :). I am going to post a warning first so please be aware of this, it is not my responsibility if someone reads this and is blinded by the sexyness, 'kay? okay...

WARNING! THIS FANFICTION IS RATED M (MATURE) PERSONALLY RIGHT NOW I AM PUTTING IT AT AN 16 OR OVER FOR LATER CHAPTERS DUE TO SEXUAL REFERENCES....A LOT OF NAKED CLOUD.....AND OF COURSE VIOLENCE AND LANGUAGE.

So now the warning is out of the way let me give you the Summary and Prologue of this story on here :3 If i get a good response from people then i will continue the story, if not....well it all depends XD

SUMMARY:- When a world of chaos and destruction subsides from Midgar, all that remains is the unconscious feelings one woman holds for a very special Delivery Boy.

Her eyes shot open in a flurry of puzzlement as she scurried to gather her wits about her. She rushed over to her dressing table staring into the mirror with those mahogany eyes Cloud had grew to love.

"I'm me...i'm still Tifa." Her voice was shaken from the nightmare she had witnessed. How could she have even seen such a thing...?

"It wasn't real." She continued, her stare intent.

"It wasn't....real." Her confidence shattered into little pieces within her mind. If it wasn't real...then why did everything feel so real? I could touch his blood-stained skin, watch as his eyes fluttered close and...see him smile, one last time.

"Tifa?" A deep voice resounded from outside her room, snapping her back to reality. She tried to speak, but her voice had other ideas. It felt like a hand was clamped down onto her throat...hard. She couldn't breathe. All innate procedures her body was meant to perform had seized, she stiffened as she only just recognised that her door was smashed open and a warm, well-toned body pressed firmly against hers.

"Tifa...i'm here." Her vision was blurry and her voice still weak, but she managed to croak out a barely audible whisper in question.

"Cloud?"

Arms suddenly tightened and the distinguished blonde haired man buried his face into the crook of her neck, pulling her body ever closer.

"Everything...will be okay...i promise."

A/N: So here is already the 1st Chapter :) sorry for the shortness again XD I don't really like writing long chapters and have a terrible habit of living most of them on cliffhangers XD I understand the Prologue isn't very clear into what the story may hold, BUT it does give you an idea...and let me tell you this...everything is not all that it seems. Anyways i hope you enjoy Chapter 1, please comment, it means a lot x

"Stay still...seriously, you're as bad as Denzel when it comes to bath time." Tifa's scrutinized gaze tore through Cloud as he fidgeted on the wooden chair.

Despite Tifa's momentary cold glare, it was still filled with that same kindness and comfort he had known ever since he was a child. That's what he loved, about Tifa Lockhart. Her eyes, described her in so many ways even he couldn't comprehend the full meaning independently. He watched intently as soft hands glided over the injuries he had received upon his arm, the green energy emanated from Tifa's palms as she steadily healed the deep cuts.

After fighting Sephiroth he felt a strange feeling anxiety; maybe because he felt that Sephiroth would return, like he did a few hours prior. It was possible...but-

"Cloud?" His cerulean eyes met deep wine filled ones, full of question.

"Ah, sorry." He broke off the gaze opening one of his callused palms for Tifa to heal the scratches he had gotten from the impact of when his sword connected with Sephiroth's, many times over.

"You don't have to worry anymore...he's gone." Tifa's voice sounded solid and certain. Almost as if she knew that there was no prospect of Sephiroth ever returning...yet, she knew better than to "assume". Cloud sighed closing his palms as he stood and waltzed to the bedroom door.

"That's...what i'm worried about." He left the room, the silence hanging.

Tifa left the squatting position she was in and stretched her whole body, regaining feeling in her legs. She returned the healing materia back to it's rightful box and replaced it underneath Cloud's bed. He had decided to move back in with Tifa and Denzel, not out of obligation but because he felt that he should protect them properly.You're my only family. He had said when he returned to Tifa's side. She ended up making the spare room into hers so that she could be nearest the bar when she awoke, yet she always felt a loneliness gnawing at her heart. Tifa shook her head, releasing the thoughts like a wave of smoke.

"TIFA!" Yuffie's scream was much unexpected but the hug that came with it was even more so a surprise at the least. Yuffie clung onto Tifa's white tank top as she hung her arms out in the air, bewildered as to what was happening.

"Y-Y-Yuffie, what's wrong?" Tifa pulled away from the young kunoichi.

"That....THAT is what's wrong." Yuffie pointed to the ever-so-innocent looking Denzel.

"What's wrong with Denzel?" Tifa considered the situation very lightly, Denzel wasn't a trouble maker she knew this for sure, but Yuffie on the other hand, was a "provoker".

"Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeas a matter of fact i might add, DELIBERATELY hid one of my materia." Yuffie folded her arms, holding her head in a rather typical posh manner.

"Do you have it?" Tifa's straight face slowly contorted into a small smiile and with a small hand gesture of "shoo" Denzel left the room in a hurry.

"Well you see, he though that he cou-...what...oh the materia? Yes i have it. Why?" Yuffie pulled out the fiery red ball of power and held it before her and Tifa.

"Then...." Tifa casually walked past Yuffie to the door, turning once to see Yuffie's expression. "Why are we even having this conversation?" Yuffie's mouth widened as Tifa shut the door when she left a made her way to the bar to resume tending to the customers.

"OH THAT.............WOMAN!" Yuffie stomped out of the room, making her way to the bar where everyone had gathered.

"You know, you seem to always stick up for Denzel, but me the White Rose of Wutai should be treated with so-." Yuffie walked into a room of silence as everyone eyes were on Vincent.

"Is it true?" Cloud's voice was so very quiet yet seemed to fill the room with an echoing question everyone had in their heads.

"I gathered the information from sustainable sources, they are well trusted, i would like to think it's true....although...Cloud what-."

"IF ZACK'S ALIVE THEN WHY THE HELL DID I SEE HIM DIE!?" Cloud's anger flared as he left the room in a rush, heading straight for his office.

"Zack's....alive?" Tifa's voice squeaked out in the silence and tears filled the brim of her eyes.

Wow this is wonderful Sian! I gasped when Cloud said Zack was alive and then I screamed "ZACK IS ALIVE - YAY"
Very sexy indeedy.

Tifa willed herself to not let the tears drop. She wasn't emotional, not anymore, after everything she had been through she can't bring herself to cry at a time like this, she had to be strong, for herself...and Cloud.

Vincent didn't continue. He left the highly shocking news hanging in the now very thick air, nobody's breathing was heard. It was almost as if they were each holding their breath's, contemplating about the possibility of the 1st Class SOLDIER still being alive.

"Minerva?" Vincent's deep, renowned voice resonated within the bar atmosphere, everyones eyes immediately shooting to his.

"The Goddess?" Tifa looked in confusion, trying to grasp what Vincent was getting at.

"Rumour goes...a human who has proved true courage has a chance to return to the world he once resided in, however, he must convince The Goddess of Life that he is worthy of such an opportunity." Cloud's presence had become strongly noticed as he explained vaguely something he was told during his SOLDIER Infantry days.

"Cloud are you-." Tifa stopped mid sentence. She knew better then to ask if Cloud was okay, his answer would always be the same. I'm fine. He never knew how to say or even begin to ask for anything, nor did he like to burden those closest to him with his troubles.

"Cloud?...If Zack is alive....then...surely he will come to a place he knows of, right?" Yuffie gazed distantly as she considered the prospect of meeting this "Zack Fair" once again.

"He will come to Midgar...that i already know." Cloud moved to the exit of the bar proceeding through the back door.

"CLOUD!" Tifa ran after him, not wanting to hear anything more about the current situation.

"CLOUD!" She repeated calling for him. She saw him preparing his swords in Fenrir. The sun giving the bike a healthy golden glow, her eyes glanced over his back.

"Tifa...i need to find him first. If i don't face this head on, then, who am i to say that i am worthy of being Zack's living legacy." His voice was firm and set. His decision made, he closed the compartment to where his swords were stored and climbed aboard Fenrir with perfect ease. Gripping onto the ignition, he revved Fenrir, a mighty roar replied.

"I'll be back, don't worry. I promised i'd protect you and Denzel." And with those final words, he departed towards the place he only knew too well. Zack's Grave.

Ah, this is so awesome! Is Zack really alive? I hope so! <3

Cloud's bike engine roared through out the desolate outskirts of Midgar, scaring off any lingering creatures which may feel the need to attack. His thoughts were a fragmented mess, one moment Zack was dead and the next, he had to face the fact his best friend could be alive. He didn't want to think about it and only focus on every rock column and dusty track that led before him, but he knew this was futile.

Fenrir came to a stop as Cloud reached the top of a cliff face and the ever recognisable Buster Sword lying before him, still in it's planted position. He dismounted the bike walking over to the dirt-ridden sword, his gloved hand reached for the hilt and his hand connected with cold, hardened metal sending the fine hairs upon his arm to rise slightly.

"Zack...." It was only meant for his own reconciliation, the memories he tried to forget flooded his mind once again.

Live. You are my...living legacy. Hey Cloud, could you say...i became a hero.

He fell to his knees, both hands grasping the hilt of the sword as his head rested on to the strong, metal body almost in comfort, his hair stroked his face, the wind silently bellowing it's movement. He couldn't release the tears, he hadn't cried since Aerith had died...and yet, he wanted to see him again. He wanted him to be alive, his greed taking over his pride. He wanted Zack Fair to stand before him once again.

He shut his eyes tightly and stood from his kneeling position, his legs shaking with fatigue and nausea that seemed to have overwhelmed him. He felt sick to his stomach. His face contorted as shots of pain stabbed at his stomach...but, this pain was the same as when Aerith and Zack died...the same as when Tifa got so hurt and he was too late to come to her aid. Heart ache. So painful that he knew if it continued he would retreat back to his shell that he had perfected over the years, not even Tifa could get through to him sometimes.

Rain poured from the heavens as Cloud's blonde hair stuck to the sides of his face and flattened dramatically. The once dusty ground beneath him was now a chasm of mud and dirt mixed into one, sticking to his shoes. He proceeded to Fenrir, his face set in that same monotone expression.

"Cl...ou..d."

Cloud's eyes widened in astonishment as he turned abruptly to see a shadowed figure approaching him.

"Clou...d." His name was stronger now, on the tongue of this stranger.

Cloud couldn't move. Curiosity froze him and the assault of rain made it ten times harder to see who this person or thing was.

"Cloud." Black hair and a drenched SOLDIER uniform came into view, and Cloud could only audibly project the words he had in his mind from his mouth.

"Zack...?"

woow, this is soo amazing. like, the way it's written and everything, you should be a writer!! and ommggg zaaaack!

A/N: I AM SO HAPPY WITH THE RESPONSES SO FAR :3 it really motivates me to keep writing 8D hence why i am updating twice in a day :O XD thank youuuu x

Cerulean eyes met an identical pair within the rain, illuminating each rain drop that fell before them. The space between the two men seemed to slowly shorten and within a few seconds that space became a mere few paces.

"It...really is you." Cloud didn't know what else to say, his voice barely audible above the onslaught of rain.

Zack rubbed the back of his dampened neck, ruffling his onyx strands into an upright position only to be flattened once again by the rains constant assault. Zack had always done this small gesture when he was nervous or just down right speechless, i think it was more so the latter in his case.

"Who were you expecting?" Zack's tone was the same. The same joyful, playful tone that brought girls flooding in, Zack was always such a suave and "ladies man" as Tifa referred him to. Cloud didn't realise how much he actually missed Zack until he did speak. A few minutes ago the prospect of his best friend being alive was very slim and now....now, he was staring him in the face. Flesh and bone constructed his body. He wasn't a ghost, neither was Cloud imagining things. His gloved hand reached out and touched Zack's frozen arm, gripping firmly onto the bare skin.

"How.....just.....how?" Cloud's voice broke, along with the tears he had been holding back. Salt and water merged together on pale skin as Cloud planted his head onto the SOLDIER's navy sweater.

"Magic." Zack smiled as he placed one of his hands upon Clouds compressed blond locks, looking down at the broken ex Infantry man. He knew he couldn't tell Cloud how he had come back...it was after all....part of his contract.

FLASHBACK (Zack and Minerva)

"I heard...there was a way to return to the world i once belonged in...is that true." Zack's voice resounded around the emerald lit room.

"How did you acquire this knowledge?" Minerva's expression was one of sternness.

"It was a rumour i had heard long ago...but....is it just rumour, is my question?" Zack returned the stern glare with one of determination as he stepped closer to The Goddess.

"Hmph...you're death is something you should be proud of, yet...you wish to return and live amongst the humans? I do not seem to understand your brash actions, 1st Class SOLDIER Zack Fair." Minerva smirked, her questioning gaze ready to criticise Zack's next choice of words. She held her staff proudly, the golden plated emblem of a phoenix engraved onto the joint of the staff, where the hilt met the blade.

"My death meant i wasn't able to live any longer, i protected my best friend, but...there were many more things i wanted to do...wanted to experience. I didn't fully experience love, or to be loved neither did i know what it was like to lead a life of a hero, i still have many things to achieve and thus, i ask of you, Minerva...Goddess of Life, please let me return to the place i rightfully belong. Zack bowed slightly showing his gratitude of the words he spoke from his heart.

Minerva smiled. Her features softened and the once stern Goddess turned into one of beauty and kindness. The end of her staff connected with the ground in a mighty crash as she slammed it down into the floating lifestream. Strands of illuminated greenery encased Zack in a powerful sheath, until he could only barely see Minerva, his arm reached out in desperation as he wondered what was happening. His voice had left his body, no screams were heard or even projected, and so he fell. Farther....and farther....and father until darkness overtook his vision. An echo of words was left repeating in his ears.

"You have my thanks...Zack Fair, however do not tell anyone of this matter otherwise, everything will be to how it was originally." The feminine voice continued to echo until Zack's last hope in staying conscious faded.

END FLASHBACK

"I see." Cloud composed himself, straightening out his own sweater and wiping his slightly swollen eyes, the cold rain soothing the throbbing heat emanating from them.

"I....never did make it to Midgar did i?" Zack looked across the desolate land before him, Midgar just barely visible through the pouring rain. Cloud went to stand next to him as he also looked out to where Zack was.

"Maybe...we should go." Cloud looked at the SOLDIER smiling for the first time in a while. Zack would be able to see everyone, it made Cloud feel a sense of pride at showing him how he had built his life ever since that moment in time.

"Yes...i want to...see what i had missed." Zack looked at Cloud and grinned. He was happy to be back...so so happy. And with that, they proceeded onto Midgar.

The Zack and Minerva bit was so well thought out and described, it was so convincing!

A sudden gust of wind brought him out of his sweat-hazed daydream. DAMNIT! Zack cursed mentally. Ever since he had returned to his original being, he had felt sick. Not just any kind of sick, his head continously spun, his steps were hasty and his vision blurred every now and then. He felt like he wanted to vomit in the nearest bush...even behind a rock sounded appealing to him right now. His legs dragged him closer and closer to Midgar's entry checkpoint, his eyes focusing on the little creases on Cloud's clothing, clinging for life onto his back, still damp from the onslaught of rain previously.

He didn't want to tell Cloud he felt so ill....heck....could he be dying again? It sure as hell feels like it . Zack silently thought.

"We're almost there....home." Cloud's voice contained a sliver of happiness, jolted in between the confusion and shock that still remained even after 2 hours of him witnessing that his best friend was back from the dead.

Zack could barely see the checkpoint, not that it was far, it's just his vision was constantly tearing up the scenery before him, the only thing he could clearly see was Cloud. Which was kind of ironic how there wasn't even a Cloud in the sky. Damn i'm good. Zack chuckled absently to himself, making Cloud turn to see the heavily fatigued SOLDIER.

"Maybe...we should take a break." Cloud nodded towards the rock pillar a few steps away.

"Nah, i'm fine, just a little outta shape that's all." Zack continued to drag his feet along towards Midgar, determination had finally sunk in.

Despite this new found determination within him, his knees could no longer hold his weight, and he collapsed in a dusty heap.

"ZACK!?." Cloud ran over to his unconscious friend, lying lifeless on the dust-ridden ground.

His index finger and middle finger instantly felt the part of his neck where his pulse could be felt. Well...he's still alive. Cloud thought. He now contemplated there situation.

They were about an hours walk from Midgar's Entrance Checkpoint, that would take twice as long if he were to carry Zack on his back, but if he went back for Fenrir then...but Zack...left alone...incapable of even lifting his own head off the ground. The situation was bad. Very bad. Also taking into consideration that night was upon them.

Cloud eyes shifted from corner to corner, looking for something to spark interest in him, in this rather compromising dilemma.

"Zack....Zack? Can you hear me?" Cloud raised his voice slightly shaking Zack's body gently.

No response. He was out...infact he was so unconscious that if Cloud hadn't checked for a pulse he would have been pretty convinced Zack was dead. He dragged the SOLDIER's heavy body the shaded area of a rocky column and leant Zack against it, his back resting firmly against the jagged rock face.

"I'll be back." Cloud murmered, and hurried off into the ever looming darkness.

"Nah, i'm fine, just a little outta shape that's all."

Lol that made me giggle a bit. This is so good. I want to know! He's left Zack all alone there unconsious! People might think he's dead and throw him in a coffin and take him away!! xD I love how you've made Zack, exactly like him!

A/N: SO MUCH INSPIRATION *o* I am so motivated to write lately...why can't it be the same for my videos? XD Anyways, the shortly awaited 6th Chapter ;D MWHAHAHA what will become of Zack?



So not only did Cloud have to blindly search for his Fenrir in what was now pretty much darkness but he also had to deal with the guilt of ACTUALLY leaving his best friend behind. He just hoped that everything would be the way it was when he got back. Zack propped up on a rocky column minding his own business...OH YES....and the fact that...he was unconscious, back from the dead and totally vulnerable. The next few minutes were going to be a delightful contemplation within Cloud's mind of how much of a jackass he really is.

Zack slowly opened his eyes, so slowly that he could feel the sweat glueing his upper lashes to his lower ones, he rubbed his eyes in an attempt to clear the oil that had set upon his face. He scrutinized the city before him. Midgar. He was so close, not only that but his vision had regained it's full intensity. Well.....so he thought. Unless Zack had gone "Cloud Blind" then....where the hell was Cloud?! It took him a while to get feeling back in his legs but once his toes started feeling the roof of his boots he steadily and shakily stood on his two pillars of strength.

"Damn, where has Cloud got to, i was only out for...." Zack rubbed the back of his head as he looked around him and one thing was for certain. He had been out for a while. It was now dark meaning, monsters and fiends would come hunting for potential prey, whether it be human or not. Not to mention, Zack was pretty much defenceless. The sword he once carried was still where he had last seen it....his grave. How depressing. He thought. And well....the chances of him getting any materia were best to be put at.....well.....ZERO.

"Maybe i should just wait." Zack thought aloud. He propped his foot behind him against the rock column and rested his back against the cool surface. Sigh. Well....i think i've waited long enough The fact that only 10 seconds had passed didn't even cross Zack's mind and he continued back, retracing his steps to where he "assumed" Cloud had gone.

He mounted Fenrir and placed the Buster Sword into one of the free sword compartments within his bike. With only a faintly spotted dusty trail, Cloud took off, back to where Zack was....only thing was....Where was back?

"Ahhhh crap." Zack landed heavily on his ass as he gave up on his last tactic.....Walking. It wasn't like him to cuss....okay so "crap" wasn't really cussing but it wasn't like him to think so....negatively. Even so, he regained his composure and proceeded in whichever direction looked quite possibly the most appealing. Oh yes, he also gave up on using his mind as a map.

Cloud knew Zack. If he had woken up...he was most likely gone. If he was still unconscious...well then...he SHOULD (a stressed SHOULD), be where he was when he left him. Cloud's vision was to a minimum as the darkness made it hard to notice any wandering Zack that may have actually had the intellectuality to find his way to his own grave.

He accelerated slightly worried at the prospect of not finding an "out cold" Zack against a rock column.

Stone...Dust....Stone....Stone....More Dust.....Stone....Stone...Dust....Stone....Dust....Dust....Stone....Smaller Stone...Stone.....Big Stone....Stone....Dust....OH A ROCK.....Stone. The ridiculous game of "Say what you see" was like "Counting sheep" for Zack. He was convinced...he had lost his mind. Insanity had taken over the intelligence that had once taken up a small part of his brain. In other words...Zack....was lost. Not just was he lost...but he was completely and utterly lost.

His eyes watched his feet kick the ground as he aimlessly continued to count stones.

"1286....1287....1288...128- OH SHI-" Zack dived to his left so quickly that even his brain had to register that he had moved.

"What the...?" Zack's eyes, came into focus and saw a very familiar, gravity defying, blonde spike-ball approaching him.

"Ah, geez Cloud....you coulda killed me." Zack stood back up, brushing down the dust from his baggy trousers.

"I assure you...that wasn't my intention." Cloud held back a smile. The moment frightening him also but at the same time, filled him with a warmth of humour.

"I take it, we are now going to Midgar?" Zack asked breathlessly.

"Of course."

Zack and Cloud both clambered onto Fenrir, and they took off towards Midgar's Entrance Checkpoint.

"the chances of him getting any materia were best to be put at.....well.....ZERO."

My fav parts xD I seriously love Zack!

A/N: So quite a humorous last Chapter, i wanted to go for the funny more impatient side of Zack in that one, i tried to not make him tooooo OOC (out of character). Anywho, here is Chapter 7 and they finally make it to Midgar ^w^


After a few minutes, they made it to Midgar's Entrance Checkpoint automatically being given authority to pass through the wide steel gates that now gave Midgar an enchanting fort appeal.

"Wow...it's changed." Zack glanced around as buildings, roads and citizens zoomed past in a hazy blur. Small wreckages still laid absently from 3 years ago and people seemed to be happy in there every day life.

"You gotta place or something?" Zack shouted over the bikes engine as it roared through the streets.

"Something like that." Cloud replied shouting almost as loud as Zack had. He wasn't quite ready to call Seventh Heaven home, he didn't want to lay a jinx upon the house bar that Tifa had grown to nurture and love. He couldn't do that to her, it would just about make him lose all self righteousness.

The scenary changed slightly as wreckages became more constructed. Heaps of metal and debris lied scattered on the roadside, the roads scarred with black rubber marks where vehicles had tried to make a quick getaway. Lampposts slowly rusted away quietly staying out of sight from scrutinizing eyes and children, were like little warriors, waiting for war.

"What happened here?" Zack's mako eyes were filled with pain as he looked on at the surrounding destruction.

"It was worse a few months ago. Sephiroth came back and well, this was his memento...i guess." Cloud's head lowered slightly as he took a sharp turning to the left.

Zack stayed silent. Silence seemed to be the best answer right now, he was sure Cloud had already had enough consolation from this event after all. Looking back to when Cloud was defeating Sephiroth, Zack remembered briefly standing side by side with Cloud once again. Telling him that his truth lied within himself...that he should save the innocent and kill the condemned. He did just that. He became a hero, just like Zack.

Fenrir came to a grinding halt as Cloud pulled up to a small, well built house.

"Seventh....Heaven?" Zack slid off Fenrir, scrunching his eyes slightly to try to make out the words on the houses plaque above the door.

Cloud left the question unanswered and proceeded to the back entrance of the bar, down a narrow alley. Zack hesitantly followed.

Cloud's boots came in touch with the recognisable wooden floor in a load thud. Immediately he saw Tifa behind the bar tending to the customers who only seemed to be of the male gender. It never seized to surprise him, that most guys only came for one reason...and that wasn't to drink.

Her head turned to see the new presence in the bar, Tifa's charcoal hair gliding against her fine features.

"Cloud...you're back, how did thi-" Tifa stopped mid-sentence as her eyes widened and the glass that was previously in her hand, had shattered into many pieces onto the floor.
