Silent Hill

Any Silent Hill fans here? *clings to her pipe and flashlight*
I love 2, 3 and 5 and I also love the movie.

Ain't had chance to play SH1 [mainly cause I can't find it T.T], SH4 or any of the spinoffs like Origins or Shattered Memories.
Not that I wanna play the last one, who in their right mind turns all the blood and gore into ICE?! D8<

Mah favourite characters are James [SH2] , Vincent [SH3] , Alex [SH5] and Josh [SH5] and my favourite monster has GOT to be Valtiel from Silent Hill 3 or Scarlet from Silent Hill 5 ^w^ I love Cybil from the movie too but that's the movie, not the game XD *tries to keep on topic*

I've played or rather watched them being played. xD SH1 and 2. Not the best game series, but fun to play in a group.

I played SH4 and SH: origins. SH4 definitely kicked my *ss and gave me nightmares for 2 entire weeks. >.< But it's really cool and one of the series who still have that -something- of horror within :)

I've only watched a Let's Play of the 2nd game. Started to watch some of the 3rd and 4th game as well, but I don't know why I stopped. I also have seen the movie, but I didn't really think it was all that good.
I wish to play one of the games someday though. *_*

The best Silent Hill is definitely 3. Cheryl (or Heather) fits the protagonist role perfectly! I also loved the different endings we could have :D

It was the very 1st Silent Hill I ever played and although I got scared a lot (the volume was always around 10% in the pc XD) I made it to the end and even re-played it :D

Oh, Silent Hill.

I played as little kid. Pre six years old. Or rather watched my brother play and played when he said I could. Don't remember much. Aside from the mummy like kids in the school that boggled my mind, Pyramid Head, and the...I forget what they're called. They're like women with jerky crazy movements.

Loved the movie, tho. :D

Silent Hill 2 is one of my favourite games EVER. I had it ooohh so many years ago and I still love it now.
The twists are fantastic (maybe it wasn't shocking to others but I was like :O haha) and it was my first Silent Hill. I have 1,2,3 4 and 0 (origins.) I want 5 but I'm not too sure as I've read it's different. That being said, I want Shattered Memories because it's different haha - the ice and running away rather than fighting sounds really, really cool!
Origins is making me struggle though - melee weapons get broken and you lose them after about 4 hits - I'm going around punching acid spitting monsters in the face!!!

Silent Hill is epic xD
Though most of them ive watched walkthroughs for i really wanna get my hands on them.
Especially Two and Three, probably cause Heather is awesome and cause, i mean who doesnt love Pyramid Head eh? :lol:

But i do own Homecoming, and i even find that kinda creepy, the first level was freaky as hell O_O

I love Silent Hill 8D I love 1-4~ Not that I don't like teh other ones but I find teh first four to have teh best stories and it stays close to what made Silent Hill what it is, teh Cult. Of course mah favorite one ish Silent Hill 2 :D It was what got meh into SH. After that one, I have became obessed with it XD

LOVE SILENT HILL, MAN.
Not the scariest game I've played, but it definitely deserves lots of love. <3

I do. Can I be honest? I never played the games. But I always felt like I missed out. So, I watched the cutscenes on YT and I wished I had played. D'8
But I am a fan and I love the characters. :)

It's okay :3 I was teh same. I just was luckeh that I had a friend that let meh borrow all of them XD I played SH2 first though <---I'm out of order like that :3

I actually just got finished replaying SH1 and it makes me sad to realize how much the series has gone downhill since SH4:The Room.

....Not like The Room was good, but it still added on to the main storyline that is Silent Hill. D:

Origins is crap in which it contradicts 1, and Homecoming....let's not even go there. ;_;

Did you like Shattered Memories? I thought it was fantastic, completely different but fantastic. It still had all the weird newspaper cuttings, and the strange little things that make SH amazing

I've only watched the movie, but i think it was pretty cool! I was a little disappointed with the ending, although i always am when i watch films that leave you on this big confusing cliffhanger thing and you have to go online to find out what it all meant. Still, i keep watching those types of films...so i guess something good came out of it? It certainly was an interesting movie ^_^

And yet again, I arrive super late to this discussion. >.> I absolutely adore the SH series. I've only played 2, 5, Origins and Shattered Memories. I was really disappointed with Shattered Memories, though. I've never had a chance to play the first game and since it was a "remake" of the first game, I was really excited. It had a couple of good "surprise scare" moments, environmentally speaking, but in general I found it didn't compare with the other games. >.> Particularly because you couldn't fight back and it was the same attack scenarios over and over. When I was allowed to explore unhindered, it was really interesting, but because I couldn't fight back and literally just had to run, I found myself more frustrated and bored than scared. TT.TT Which was saddening.

I loved 5, though. Of the games I've played, it's the scariest, but I've heard 3 and 4 are the best in the scare factors. I really want to play them. XD I just haven't gotten the will power to go out, get them and play them yet.

Anyone excited for 8 (it still makes me laugh that they consider Origins (0) as 6 and Shattered Memories (1) as 7)? I think the new environments and creatures look fantastic and the premise of having a character who is going to jail (so will most likely have some serious guilt in his life) will be going into a town that picks apart the psychology of the guilty. Super interesting, can't wait. XD

I haven't looked at much about 8 yet but it seems really interesting. I like the rain and drowning aspects, it is interesting and a nice change, I liked the ice from Shattered Memories too. I really liked 5 too - even though it had bad reviews! Do you have a PS3? I believe Silent Hill 1 is on psn and 2 and 3 are being remade/hd-ified haha for Ps3.

I am a fan, however I heard the last one with Shattered Memory is supposed to be good though. Compared to Homecoming and Origins, it is supposed to be more creative. Haven't had a chance to play it though. D:
