Your Asian Biography

So as your Moderator for this section of course i really want to know about what compelled you to start watching Asian Dramas/Movies? When did you first ever start watching them? What was your first impressions? etc etc etc. I shall happily go first :)

SIAN'S ASIAN BIOGRAPHY

When i was around 12-13 i watched my first ever Asian Movie called "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon." It was a Chinese Movie so i never really considered Korean and Japanese Movies until later. However i loved the concept this movie held, the visual effects were amazing, but it lacked something in the sense that....you could definitely tell some parts were wired XD This is when Zhang Ziyi became one of my favorite actresses. I continued on from here to watch more Chinese Movies, such as: House of Flying Daggers, Hero, Banquet, and so on. I especially grew to love House of Flying Daggers, an amazing movie! Despite this, i didn't watch my first Asian (Korean or Japanese) Drama until i was about 14-15. And i remember well that it was Boys Over Flowers, closely followed by Japanese Drama, Tatta Hitotsu No Koi. I was mainly influenced to watch these because, even before the Asian Movies, i LOVED JPOP/KPOP....ever since i was about 10 i had listened to it. Anyways, i absolutely loved both Dramas, and felt the need to watch even more and so i continued onto Dramas such as: Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge, Personal Taste, Sapuri, Nobuta wo Produce, Playful Kiss, etc. A majority of them i ended up loving and so began my Asian Loving Addiction :D

Well, last year I had an online friend that was watching the Korean drama 'Playful Kiss', and she told me about it, and I got really interested in it xD
From there we watched 'You're Beautiful' and now I'm watching 'Heartstrings' on my own.

That same friend also introduced me to what's now my favorite band, Beast. I remember she showed me Shock, and I was instantly in love with them. I recently also started to get really into MBLAQ and Super Junior, too. <3

HIII! My first Drama was Absolute Boyfriend, the Japanese version! :)
I read the manga and fell in love and I needed it more! D: So I began searching for an anime.. None.. I saw there were episodes of the Drama on youtube in parts so I began to watch. That was when I was about 15...

I'm 18 now, and to pick it up from where I left off, I became curious on netflix and started browsing the Asian Dramas/movies sections and Boys Before Flowers Caught my attention so I started watching that, after I saw City Hunter which is my absolute FAVORITE, then Playful Kiss, Personal Taste and now Mackerel Run! I'm obsessed with Lee Min Ho! LOL :D

Uhmmm when I was 16 I watched my first Drama I think. It was a chinese one and Innachan told me that. (^.^) Unfortunately I can't remember the name of this Drama. (T^T) I really want to watch it again but well... Then I watched only japanese ones: Nobuta wo Produce, Hana Yori Dango, Zettai Kareshi and now Rich Men, Poor Woman ♥. This were the important ones I saw till the very end. I watched a lot of Dramas but not every one till the end or all full episodes. I love to watch Dramas. I'm so addicted to it. ♥♥♥ I can't Stop.

Edit: I saw Boys over Flowers in korean as well but just a few episodes because I can't get used to korean Dramas. XD I only can watch japanese ones. I love it.~
