Sooo... What do you think about the Remake?

Final Fantasy VII - E3 2015 Trailer | PS4

I know I'm coming in here now out of nowhere. But I have to get my excitement under control! Maybe there is even someone who has not noticed yet:

Long ago, we looked upon a foreboding sky. The memory of a star that threatened all burns eternal in our hearts. In its wake, came an age of silence. Yet with each fond remembrance we knew, those encountered were not forgotten. That someday we would see them again. Perhaps it was no more than wishful thinking. But after the long calm there are now the beginnings of a stir. The reunion at hand may bring joy, it may bring fear. But let us embrace whatever it brings. For they are coming back. At last the promise has been made.

Production has begun on the full remake of FINAL FANTASY VII, a title that first released in 1997 and universally regarded as a hallmark title of the RPG genre. Leading the development will be key members from the original project, including producer Yoshinori Kitase, director Tetsuya Nomura and scenario writer Kazushige Nojima. The announcement trailer has been released and more updates on this project will be revealed at a later time.

This is sad. The past days I have been waiting for someone to show up and tell us that this isn't true but I waited for nothing :(
Some people already fear that this is a sign for the remake to be the bummer. But I don't get why he wouldn't tell us the reasons for him not working on the remake. Just bluntly saying "not at all" doesn't make so much sense to me, especially since the interviewer surely would follow up on it, no?
