Accidentally wiped external HD by plugging into xbox HELP??
dont know if anybody is good with this sorta thing but...
My mum tried to plug my sisters external into the xbox (I dont know why, to see if they could watch a movie or something i think) and she tried using it but now none of her files are there and the drive has been renamed. We plugged it into my laptop to see if it was her computer and as I have my settings to show hidden folders, we saw a folder called "Xbox360" with a load of random data files.
My sister has a lot of important school files as well as all her projects clips and music on this harddrive is their any way to retrieve the data?

Hi there!
Sorry to hear that the HDD got wiped by the Xbox360, the chances of getting the data back are slim as it looks like the Xbox has formatted it so that it can use it to store in-game data.
However, there are a few things you could try to recover the data which involves downloading specialised software in order to recover the data.

Hope this helps, if you have any more questions - just post here. :)
