Kingdom hearts 358/2 Days
Well, I've been considering buying it since amazon has it pretty cheap and everyone seems to go on about it. Not to forget I've seen Xion popping up absolutely everywhere. But is it worth it? People who go on about it either say 'IT'S AMAAAZIIIIINGGG!!!!11!!!1!!!' or 'it fails more than fish trying to walk.' What do you think?

Re: Kingdom hearts 358/2 Days
Do not buy it. It's a wasted of money and time, as Clover said earlier. I bought it, I didn't even beat it. I go so sick of whiny Roxas, the game play and all of it. It was just bad, It's way to repeative and get's very boring, very fast.
We all know Xion is a mary sue, she's annoying and ugh. .-.; Can't stand her. The only good thing is Axel in the game, and even that is kind of seen sparingly in the beinging of the game thanks to Xion.
It's bad. Do not waste your money on it.

Re: Kingdom hearts 358/2 Days
Weeeell, if you already know all there is to know to 358/2 days (=Spoilers xD), then you shouldn't buy it. If you are really a big fan of the franchise, then add it to your collection, but it's not worth it, if you want to fx. have some of your questions answered.
I already posted it in the BBS Thread, but to sum it up and without spoilers, you will know following things after finishing 358/2 Days:
- Daily Life of the Organization (Killing Heartless, collecting Information of different Worlds, abusing 2 innocent childs to do their dirty work haha x'D)
- Axel's true name
- The Reason why Roxas left the Organization (358/2 gives you a new reason, even though we know that Roxas actually left, because he wanted to know why he was the Keyblade's Chosen One)
Yeah, that pretty much sums it up.

Re: Kingdom hearts 358/2 Days
I didn't really liked it much. It was pretty boring.
It was totally not worthusing my bandwidth, downloading it getting it.
I also hate Xion. -____- I find her to be highly annoying.

Re: Kingdom hearts 358/2 Days
I don't want to make myself repetitive, so I'm just going to say: don't buy it. Reasons? Everything people said before - waste of time and money. It's not even an enjoyable game. After the 100th day or something, it gets incredibly boring and repetitive, so don't. You're better off not knowing what happened there.
Re: Kingdom hearts 358/2 Days
O_o majority rules, I guess. tbh, I'm not even a very big fan of kh XD

All the more reason you should save your money to buy something that is actually good. :'D *coughMGSandUNCHARTEDcough*I'm not even a very big fan of kh XD
Re: Kingdom hearts 358/2 Days
I liked it even though it did get repetitive after a while. I thought the panel system was interesting and I enjoyed arranging skills exactly how you want them. The storyline was interesting even if it took a while to get off the ground. Using other characters in mission mode is also a lot of fun. Something that has to be taken into consideration is that it is a handheld game so you can't expect the very best from it.
It also hints at Xigbar being in Birth By Sleep near the end of the game.
I would say to buy the game.

MGS and uncharted, hmmm? What other games would you recommend? I'm not too hot on the gaming front out of final fantasy and I'm stuck since I'm almost done with mirror's edge (which is AMAZINNGGG <3) and I don't think much of the KILLZOMBIES or BLOODPWNEDDEAAATH types of games. I like story and interesting characters and stuff like that. I've been looking at Assassin's Creed?

If you're looking for good stories, Uncharted, MGS and Assassin's Creed are a must. :D You may get a little disappointed with Uncharted 1, but trust me, 2 compensates it (in fact, Uncharted 1 is neither good nor bad. It's just an okay game, but the sequel is ridiculously awesome, definitely the best game of this year).
Assassin's Creed 1 is boring and repetitive. Story is good, but the game is not. Like a movie with a good plot bad executed, know what I mean? Despite that, AC 2 fixed that and is REALLY worth it. I highly recommend this game (after Uncharted, that is. XD).
Final, MGS is must for story lovers. You may not feel comfortable with the stealth genre at first (as far as I know, only two games ever used stealth as it's main genre, MGS and Tenchu), but don't let it back you down. The story is DEFINITELY worth it. I've never seen such an epic story in a video game (or in a movie) before. You won't regret it.
If you like cell-shading games, I also recommend Valkyria Chronicles, which is really, really good, specially the gameplay. ^^
Re: Kingdom hearts 358/2 Days
haha, yeah I agree with Clover, don't buy it xD MGS is the best, you really should try it! ^-^
KH 358/2 Days is good in some way but I think it's a waste of time to play it : D

Re: Kingdom hearts 358/2 Days
I just finished the game not even ten minutes ago and I say don't buy it. I just wanted to get it over with. Half the heartless have an unheard amount of hp. Plus if you don't really like Kingdom hearts or The nobodies then it would get really frustrating. The only reason why I played it is because I'm a huge Kingdom Hearts fan but it's just a giant waste of time.

this is what annoys me most about it. the fights drag on for so long.. ugh.
Re: Kingdom hearts 358/2 Days
I'm not the biggest fan of Xion and the "examine the area" missions were incredible annoying, but over all I liked the game. It's not really an important part of the story and is a bit repetitive, but I did enjoy it actually. Maybe it's my AkuRoku fangirl taking over or just I enjoy most games just because. I liked the fighting style even though the panels thing was kinda gay, but really this game was made more for serious KH fans or if you like seeing oppossing sides to stories, which I do like. :3
Re: Kingdom hearts 358/2 Days
I don't know whether I hate it or not. :/ I mean, I've had it since its release in the UK, months ago, and I am stuck as hell because the power of the enemies is completely ridiculous. I only bought the game for the scenes with the Organisation, and as much as I like all the attention to Demyx (yaaaaay~!) all the missions are repetetive, and at my current day (100-something?). I don't like Xion, though I have to admit that it filled in one major plot hole for me- that, if it took Nami at most a few days, the time Sora got through Castle Oblivion, to change his memory, but... Hang on, it took a whole YEAR to change it back? The Xion/Roxas explanation DID make sense...
But I haven't encountered Riku yet and it's really annoying me 'cause I know the first scene isn't too far away but I'm STUCK... D:

I took it as "It's easy to break it, but it's not easy to fix it" kinda thing

Aka plot device. XD Square need it to be that way so that KHII could happen.I took it as "It's easy to break it, but it's not easy to fix it" kinda thing
Re: Kingdom hearts 358/2 Days
I'm so gonna get bitten to death for this but here it goes...
I really love KH and all the games in the series have been very good in my opinion so I was pretty excited when 358/2 Days was released. I got the game the day it was released here (October '09) and when I started playing it... I was kinda dissapointed. The story is okay, nothing epic or anything but I've seen worse. Xion was completey useless and seems like a Mary Sue to me and the missions... are as interesting as watching paint dry. They repeat themselves. It's pretty much go to World X and do this, come back go to the same world and to that. Eat icecream, *insert random angst here* and go to another world and do the same boring missions again. And no. I haven't finished the game because I got bored of it and have no motivation to finish it at all (one of the reasons being a very nice person who spoiled the ending for me, thank you very much~). The thing that you can complete missions with other Organization members than Xion (though most of them are with Xion) and the mission mode make the game a bit better... But I still don't really like it.

Re: Kingdom hearts 358/2 Days
I kinda liked the game in the matter of improving my gaming skills a bit xDD
But otherwise... well...
The panel system sucked, I tell you. T_T
And the missions were a pain, indeed.
I think it as like this; You wanna know more about the Organization or wish to play with Roxas or with the other members, buy it.
You want to have something new instead of old stuff, don't buy it.

Re: Kingdom hearts 358/2 Days
-jumping on the wagon a bit late-
Well, I honestly am half and half on this one. I don't have a DS, so I had to use my friend's to play it. I do agree that it was a bit repetitive with all the missions and the days, and it never presented too much of a challenge the with battles. However, when the story moved along, it was really intriguing, especially to see the relationship between Axel, Xion, and Roxas (though I, too, don't like Xion very much, though she was pretty essential to the game). Really, I never liked Axel much, but after seeing the way he acted as such a big brother to Roxas and Xion and how stressed and hurting he must have been after going through everything that he had to do for Xion's sake, it brought a new dimension to his character, as well as Roxas'. I loved learning about the new little details that the game presented about the Organization.
Plus, playing solo missions outside the game using some of the weapons was quite fune, Especially when you got to use such weapons as an umbrella for Roxas, and a giant banana for I think Marluxia.
I thought the story was very plausible and explained some things that happened while Sora was at Castle Oblivion. Although, it irritated me that the entire time in KH2, the castle was referred to as Castle Oblivion, and then sudden it was changed to the Castle That Never Was, and Castle Oblivion was an entirely different place. I also wish that they hadn't reused plot lines in the Disney worlds, and that they had showed more about Roxas before the Organization found him. I wanted them to show where the Organization found him and how they found out about him being Sora's Nobody.
Though it was repetitive and bit boring at times, I'd recommend it for anyone who's played the other games, huge fan or not. It adds so much depth to the characters (especially Demyx, who is entirely different than how everyone portrays him to be) and makes you feel something when you watch the scenes - like you wish there was something you could do to make things better for the characters (especially Axel, who, as I said before, I never felt for or really cared about at all). It was a good addition to the saga, even if it wasn't the best. It's nice to know about the little things, like Saix and Axel's relationship and how Xion plays a part in the soap opera that is Kingdom Hearts.

Re: Kingdom hearts 358/2 Days
Here is how my KH experience has been...
KH1, I got stuck because of the stupid no-right-analogue-stick-control-camera thing. That screwed me over completely in all of the battles, so I died pretty quick. I never made it past the stupid alice in wonderland level. So I gave up on that, and watched the cutscenes on YT.
KH2 I played from beginning to end. It was not hard at ALL and I think they made it easier than the first on purpose. I was pleased with everything about it, for the most part, except for no romance at all between Sora and Kairi T_T The hug was cute enough, I suppose.
---
Since then, Ive been waiting for KH3. But, it seems the company has decided to make a ton of spin-offs of the original storyline for like, every other gaming device. BBS, 358/2 Days, etc. I would have played either of those, had they not been for hand-held devices. If it had been for the PS2 as KH1 and 2 were, I think it would have been more enjoyable, simply because its larger, the controls are familiar, the graphics would be clearer, etc. So, I never played those. I am STILL waiting for KH3, if there is ever going to be one, and if it ends up NOT being on the PS2 or PS3, Im going to write a very angry letter :D lol
