This is my favorite video ever.
Videos focused on flow. Lyric-matching is a nice add, but I don't see it as something extremely important. I used to be a story video whore now I don't like it that much to be honest. Crossover is ALWAYS welcome, though.
What kind of Music do you usually use in your videos?
Don't have a pattern, I just use anything that gives me an inspiration to vid it. xD
How do you start making a video?
Open Vegas, select the song and pray to God that something decent will come out of it. After so many trials and fails, I realized God does not exist. Either that or he/she is a big troll.
What is the most important thing to you, when you edit?
The person's style. It doesn't matter how many tools, canvas, brushes and paints a painter has if he doesn't know how to paint. It's not the program you use that makes beautiful videos, it is the user.

Games (Kingdom Hearts Series), Animes (various), but I want to make one to a TV-Series (like Heroes <3), a cartoon series & disney movie too, when I find the time :lol:

I like pretty much all sorts of videos, they just need to appeal to me xD

How do you start making a video?
First of all I'm looking for a song, then I need to find the right footage for it.. wether I should use a Game, Anime, etc... but most importantly it should fit to the song.
There are also some times where I create a storyboard first before I start editing.

What is the most important thing to you, when you edit?
Effects, Flow and Storyline should all be in harmony, but I usually always try new stuff when I edit, so it really doesn't always stay the same xD

Final Fantasy, even if I'd like to change and use some anime... like Vampire Knight ^^

I like sad videos, especially if they're about a crossover =)

I open Vegas and I start thinking. The beginning is not difficult, I'm plenty of ideas... but then xD

Well, I don't know, I think I have a style and yes, there are some effects that I use more, but I also like to change... But I think that for me, the most important thing is the storyline, when the video has one... and the flow too =)

Timing! Everyone says my timing is awesome and if I ignore only one beat... .___. But storyline is more important ^^

i like... good videos. haha, no, i don't know. original videos, things that toootally blow me away *_* and, it doesn't have to be flashy, but it has to be well edited ^_~ (hohoho look who's talking XD).

i try to not stick to the same style o_o i've used both old school britney and nine inch nails songs in the past, so i try to keep a little variety.

How do you start making a video?
mm. if i'm inspired for a video, i start to make it immediately. this almost always backfires now XD the best is if i listen to a song for a long time, so i know what i want to do for each part of the video exactly then it's guaranteed i finish it. i've done sketches once.

What is the most important thing to you, when you edit?
i like to try new things each time, and i'm trying to incorporate effects more and more (but trying to keep them relevant at the same time). but, the most important thing is getting the message i want to get across right aaaaand having fun! ;D i'm trying to practice to improve my flow too right now.

Final Fantasy and anime apparently. I'm gonna start using other footages as well soon (like movies and shows)

TRAGIC! Ones that touch your heart and make you cry. I also love funny videos and up-tempo when it fits my mood.

Instrumental I guess. I also try to bring japanese artists into light. Mostly something either beautiful and calm or heartwrenching xD
How do you start making a video?
Well. First comes the actual idea/story. Usually it starts with a certain scene I see or experience through movies or my real life. Then after I listen to some music (usually accidentally) I just start playing the ideas in my head and then start editing. Sometimes a random piece of editing becomes a full video.
Then of course sometimes a song inspires me to make something out of it.
What is the most important thing to you, when you edit?
Storyline, colors, timing, making it something people haven't seen before. Reaching people's heart some way. Music too plays the important role.

I love random vids with an incredible sync, but I totally admire editors who are able to make emotional tragic vids, as I absolutely suck at this!

What kind of Music do you usually use in your videos?
Any type: I've vidded on techno but also rock and lots of Kajiura Yuki's music, as she has weird musics with differenty types of sounds: they are a challenge for me, I love to vid on them!

How do you start making a video?
I never have stories, sometimes when I hear a song images start running in my head and then I jump on Vegas! Ideas just pop up randomly. But most of the time I end with vids done in 30 minutes, and when I try to continue them, I'm not in the same mood and it's a complete failure!

What is the most important thing to you, when you edit?
Sync, colors (especially when the new look of the scenes seems natural), flow, and the creativity in the use of effects is really more important to me than the simple add of cookie cutter or blur.
I do not have a particular style yet...

I mostly vid to Final Fantasy 7. I use Advent Children Complete more than anything since my Vegas is being weird around avi clips and won't read them :( (If anyone knows how to fix that, please let me know!) And i also vid to Final Fantasy13 versus or not. I'm more of a "game" editor, though i'm currently trying to expand my footages.

Which kind of Videos do you like most?
I like videos of all kinds really as long as the editor put his heart into the making or edited nicely. It often annoys me when a video just has tons of random effects thrown in together for some unfathomable reason. I love crossovers too and noncanon couples. I think i've only done two or three videos with canon couples in all my editing years XD

What kind of Music do you usually use in your videos?
I use slow songs, mostly sad ones, but pretty much just slow songs. I'm not really good with fast songs, but i'm working on that XD

I listen to my iPod a lot so sometimes i just have clips that pop in my head and start editing according to the images that appear i guess.

The way clips match together. I don't know if it makes sense, but i always want clips to fit when i put them somewhere.

Well I guess it would be flow nooow. Because I used to be a ranom-flashy-effect type of editior, but I tried a flow vid about 5 months ago, and ever since then I have abandonned my effect-whoring ways xD Although every once in a while I will revert back to it ;D

I usually vid to Final Fantasy as I never really played other games, however, I do wish to play more games once I manage to get the time, such as Assasins Creed. I really liked Spazzlings pairing with Tifa and *guy from assasins creed who she does not know the name to but believes it may be Altir or something* xD I plan to get an external hardrive to store lots of footage of films, anime, games etc so I can vid to a wider range.

I like videos that have a story to them, especially crossovers which have good maskings. However, I really like Emolobster's trailer videos that she does, and Shroomies Anime vids with her wonderful effects. As long as the music doesnt make me want to plug my ears, I pretty much like any type of video if its edited well.

What kind of Music do you usually use in your videos?
My range in music isn't very wide, so I usually find it hard to find a song I like. Sometimes I'll think, "I like this song so I'll edit to it" or I'l think "Waaaaah... I need a song!"

I just mess around until I get something I like.

Ah, I think effects, story, timing and flow are all important. Its hard to get a well balanced video. Other editors do better than myself, though.

Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy. I tried dabbling in other things recently, but to date have never gotten through more than a minute using Vampire Knight or Devil May Cry. Let alone Supernatural.

It varies, really. If it's well made, it doesn't matter- I like happy ones, heartbreaking ones, effectsy ones, flowy ones... You name it, I can love it if it's made well.

I try to keep changing around, much most of the time I tend to steer towards softy kind of rock and less mainstream pop. Search "The Fray" in Last.fm's similar music thing and that's pretty much what most of the projects on my computer are made out of.

How do you start making a video?
A second or two of editing on the timeline, if I hear a song that I remotely like. Then it becomes a scene, evolves into a story in my head, and the rest (hopefully) squidges around to fit with that first scene.

An odd combination of timing, effects, storyline and flow. xD They all merge together; I can't make a video without worrying about all of them equally. I'd say effects and flow give me the most grief, though.

I had been 'vidding' for years. You know the crappy kind where you just place clips and have no idea what you're doing? I did that up until my computer couldn't handle it...and had always just enjoyed it. I didn't seriously pick it up until about a year ago when I got clips and had fun.

Flow, emotion and story line. I have a hard time editing otherwise. (I'm trying an effect video and it's failing.)

Mostly like, dramatic-ish music...something that is soft, but builds and can be used to express a storyline well, although simple piano or instrumental songs are great as well.
How do you start making a video?
Usually I start by listening to a song. I can tell right away if the song can inspire me or not to make the video, and I'll usually create the storyline and plan out the stages, effects, timing, etc. in my head as I listen to the song. Sometimes though I'll start with a concept of someone, somewhere. For example with my newest video I pictured Yuna performing her dance on a frozen lake and so I built on that.
What is the most important thing to you, when you edit?
Making sure my cuts and transitions are clean, that the effects aren't overwhelming and that the storyline is easy to follow and realistic.
