Final Fantasy Agni's Philosophy (XV?) PS4 Tech Demo

Some of you may have already seen this, but a technical demo of a new Final Fantasy game for PS4 has been shown at E3. Apparently, this could be XV - Square are waiting to see the reaction from fans before deciding if it will be the next title in the series. But the most amazing thing about this is that this is IN GAME footage! The day has arrived when the real time graphics are just as beautiful as the cg cinematics!! Well here it is!!



Pretty amazing huh?? But yeah, I'd kind of like them to focus on Versus XIII for now. :)

A new breed of FF huh? Well that's what they said about FFXIII. Good lord. But I agree, I would much rather them get around to finishing Versus.

If they postpone versus because of this, or then decide to put versus on ps4 I will crap myself ._.

Doesn't SE realise that Versus XIII could bring back a load of fans and make them bucket loads of money?? I don't think they do. D: Give us what we want!!!

That was AWSOME honestly I think a revamp would do them a world of good. (Although starting somthing new before your done with the old is just bad practice. Although Im not all that excited by Versus to be honest, it looks okay but nothing novel anymore).

Only bad thing I see about it is if they get too far from their roots and lose the overall atmosphere of the series it would be a little bit sad, mainly just cause of nostalgia though. That and its for the PS4, I cant even affoard a PS3, I just hope they put it on other plaforms too else it will be a massive flop.

As for the character shes reminding me too much of Yuna for my taste, but the overal thing kinda makes me think of a VII, X, and XII hybrid anyway.

They should either drop the Final Fantasy name, since they are hardly fantasy genre any more, or revert backwards, rather than trying to set the FF games in futuristic worlds, put them in medieval worlds, no guns, but canoes, airships, swords etc.

When will they learn that the ground breaking time period change of FF7 and FF8 is over? It's not new any more. It's overused. ._.

I read somewhere that Versus XIII will be using the same graphics engine for the lighting effects in the game as this technical demo - so that means either the new engine will be appearing on PS3 before PS4, or Versus XIII has been moved to PS4 :/ For the love of god, it was announced YEARS ago, people have already died waiting for this game ;___; It's seriously Square's last chance to pull back some of their dwindling fans and they're throwing it away. I guess the only compensation is that when it does come it will look amazing. BUTIDONTREALLYCAREJUSTGIVEMENOCTIS.

I'm surprised people still give a shit about this game it's been in development since as early as 2005 when they announced Fabula Nova Crystallis Final Fantasy in E3 2006. Even type-0 a handheld game that was originally believed to be 'rumoured' has been released before it, along with the prospect of 2 or 3 sequels for it and also a sequel to FF13 along with the prospect of another sequel for that game with a domain being registered...

Like, by the time Versus comes out, the PS4 will probably be out and it'll not be worth the wait?!?!
No game can be worth the wait of nearly a decade.

I feel the same. Just looking at Verses now I get the feeling that since it has been so long in production other releases since then, both Final Fantasy and non, will have already covered the world concepts, characters personalities, battle concepts, and key plot aspects to a fair degree.

If they are indeed waiting for the PS4 by the time it is released it will have probably lost the majority of its novelty within the Final Fantasy series.

I can see it ending up a bit like 13 was for me. Very pretty and they've made a good effort, but apart for a few select aspects simply not worth the amount of hype.
